Charters Hair Salon , has always been my wife's go-to place for her hair styling needs. Recently, I decided to experience it for myself and visited their Fanshawe Park location. I have to say, I couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and professional. An interesting fact about this location is that all the hair stylists are either Masters or Elite level, which immediately gave me confidence in their expertise and skill. This level of professionalism and experience ensures that you receive the best possible service. Based on my wife's glowing recommendation, I booked an appointment with Vila. She did not disappoint. Vila's attention to detail and dedication to her craft were evident from the start. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and provided helpful suggestions to enhance the final look. The result was an amazing haircut that exceeded my expectations. Vila's service was top-notch, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. While Charters is on the pricier side compared to regular local barbershops, the quality of service is well worth the extra cost. The hair stylists take their time, ensuring that every aspect of your haircut is perfect. They make you feel comfortable throughout the process, and the wash and styling at the end are incredibly relaxing. They also use top-shelf products, leaving your hair looking and feeling fantastic. The staff were so kind, helpful, and professional - even though it was busy, they still took the time to offer advice and made me feel welcome. Daughter got her hair done at this Chatters location only because she couldn’t get book an appointment early enough in the mall Chatters. What a disaster!! Do not recommend this location at all. One time was enough to know they haven’t a clue. Daughter went in wanting her hair lighter. She’s been going to the one in mall for a few years now and always got what she wanted & asked for. The stylist she got at this location started off by being late for the appointment. She did not ask the standard basic hair history questions (though she was heard asking other clients) after putting product in hair she tried combing her hair, daughter has thick fine hair so this caused breakage & was painful. She told the stylist she was already late for her next appointment so she needed to go. Stylist still tried to blow dry her hair (assuming drying & styling adds a bit of cost to total). In the end my daughter walked out with hair much darker then when she went in, not at all what she paid or asked for!! When store was informed they right away set up an appointment for her to go back in to get fixed (assumed $$ on them) a week later got informed that they can’t fix her hair because she was undercharged??!! Why because she skipped the blow & style & that was deducted accordingly or because the stylist knew she screwed up and gave her some kind of discount. The amount she paid did not look like she underpaid for what she got at all!! Instead they want her to pay more money to pay for their mistake, maybe, with a discount depending what the “boss” thinks is acceptable. If you are looking for a place to go in North London THIS location is not it! Look at the one in the mall instead! On a side note I’m sure this location does have stylists that do know what they are actually doing, but to have a young customer leave paying hundreds of dollars for something opposite of what they asked for and the owners or managers or whoever don’t have the decency to fix their (employee’s) mistake is disgusting.

Terrible experience. Booked a haircut for my daughter who has been considering bangs for a long time and finally decided she wanted to try it. When I booked I told them a trim and bangs and they said no problem and gave me a time. She was looking forward to having a new look for school and a special family event this weekend but Chatters staff booked her with an (inexperienced?) stylist who said she didn’t “love doing bangs” and that they were “not her thing” and “couldn’t do it”. I asked if another stylist could help so she checked and I overheard a male stylist say “yeah no- I’m going to Tim Hortons”. I left super frustrated with a disappointed kiddo despite having pre booked an appointment. Chatters staff were unbothered and unapologetic, saying whoever booked me “must not have known”. Terrible customer service. I called every other salon nearby to try to save the day for my daughter (not easy at 6 pm on a Friday) and ended up driving across town to a salon who could take her. Akouls on Commissioners came through - highly recommend them and their welcoming staff!
