Customer experiences
A beautiful, peaceful, and delicious spot for breakfast. Everyone says hello when you walk in, and the service was personable and kind. The menu is super unique and everything is delicious and has a homemade feel while still being above average food. I'm from out of town and found this spot with my family we will probably eat here for breakfast multiple days this week. I tip my hat to the waitress, she was awesome and attentive, can't remember her name but she also waits tables at a restaurant called bold just up the street. Great service and delicious food, thanks for the great experience! Edit: second stop for lunch time, same menu and the food was phenomenal again. Thank you Katelyn for the great service and experience!
Full City Cafe has been on my Maps hit list and was finally able to visit for a late breakfast. Short walk through the attached coffee shop and seated quickly. A great range of choices on the menu so we asked our server what was popular. We ended up getting the potato latke Benedict and the corned beef hash (homemade). Pretty sure that if you want toast with these, you’ll need to get a side order. Both were excellent. Liked the coffee, too. Bottom line, we’ll be back when we’re in the area!
Prior to arriving, I had a horrible customer service experience at Hilton 2. Rather than getting on the highway frustrated to head back to GR I decided to get breakfast. I googled breakfast near me and City Cafe had 4.5 stars. Of course I clicked directions. The cutest gathering spot. Very kind staff. I told my waitress I was bummed and she said “well let me spoil you”, and she did exactly that. I choose comfort food, the fried chicken biscuit and gray bowl with a pumpkin pancake on the side. My meal was delicious!!!!!!!! Tender flavorful fresh and picture perfect. But the best part was a sweet little toddler smiling and waving at me across the room. Changed my mood immediately! Then a family was sat next to me and started chatting about the weather of course, which lead to me recommending the same meal. Then we girls started exchanging compliments about hair color and purses. Brightened my mood some more. The prices are really reasonable!!!
I'm sure this kind of menu is appealing to those that think that fancy is equivalent to overpriced recipes that contain mismatched ingredients but the munu was trash. There wasn't anything that was just breakfast. I am sure I could have ordered eggs ala carte but didn't even ask. Every option contained hipster ingredients that do not belong on or in breakfast food. I'm not kidding, zero normal breakfast options. Just goofy stuff like quiche with brussel sprouts or quinoa something or another. The meals were ridiculous. Some places have the dumb stuff on the menu to appeal to the goofballs that pretend they are high class because their food is pronounced funny but still have typical breakfast options. The staff was amazing. We tipped them well even though we joust paid $24 for 5 coffees. My ridicule of this place is solely directed to the creator of the menu. If there are enough people who like this kind of stuff, then best of luck to this place.
