I have always been really picky about who cuts my hair. The last place I went to never really gave me what I wanted but I was always too afraid to say anything. I’m happy to say that I’ve been to Gaia Salon twice now and Lauren has exceeded the goal both times. She definitely sees the vision when I describe what I’m going for and what I want and she will definitely ask questions and give suggestions as to what you’re wanting done! 10/10 recommend seeing Lauren! I will definitely be back to see her!

Got a high skin fade, beard trim, shape up, and the scalp spa treatment from Tanda and it was pretty immaculate. Been in MHK for a few years now and finding someone both proficient AND comfortable with cutting 3B hair has been tough. I’m extremely picky about my haircuts but I told her what I wanted and she got straight to it, asking clarifying questions about how I wanted the specifics of my cut. Squaring/Curving my lines to follow my natural face shape, proper blending of the fade… the whole nine. For the scalp spa treatment, it was my first time doing anything other than a hair wash & a warm towel over my face so I went in expecting more of the same. I was absolutely wrong. She checked my scalp with a microscopic machine to check the health of my follicles and offered knowledgeable advice. Washed & rinsed my hair, cleansed my face, and applied three (yes, THREE) face pads covering my entire face at once. The pads were used to apply probably the most moisturizing cream i’ve ever had the pleasure of using. After it was completely applied to my skin, she rounded it off by wiping away the minimal excess with a hot towel. All in all it was a great experience. Plus she was super nice and overall a very easy person to talk to. 10/10 I’ll be going back again.

Lindsay at Gaia is so excellent! She brought my hair back to life, starting from the first appointment. She listens, gives super helpful feedback, and made a plan to help me get the longer, healthier hair I wanted (and a sparkling personality, to boot!). I don’t always feel comfortable in fashion-y places, but I love coming here. I love the compliments I get on my hair since working with her, too!
