Gautier Family Dental Care

We recently moved to Gautier from Alabama and needed a local dentist. We called and were told they accepted our insurance (Southland Dental). We both had cleanings and my wife paid for a fluoride treatment and had two fillings. We paid a little under 3 hundred dollars for treatment as was explained to be our portion. Several weeks later I get a text on my cell phone stating we had 497 dollars due. Confused, we called and asked for the office manager. We spoke with another person as the office manager was unavailable. We learned that they do not accept our insurance as we are out of network. My wife very specifically asked about this yo front before scheduling the appointments and was told they did accept Southland. We told the girl we would have never initiated services had We been told this from the onset. She was very apologetic, and she stated that they were owned by a corporation out of Georgia that handles all the Billings. I explained again that we would have never initiated care had the office been upfront and relayed they did not accept our insurance that pays for two cleanings per year in addition to a set amount for other dental work. Unless you want to give them a blank check for services, I explained that we could not continue to use the office as they did not accept our insurance. I asked the girl to talk with her office manager and relay our concerns, we also asked that because we initiated care under incorrect information from staff that we part ways without further cost and they use this as a learning opportunity to provide correct information to customers so they can make an informed decision on the cost they may incur. I am concerned that the whole unfortunate incident may be a corporate strategy to entice new customers while all the while they know they do not accept their insurance. I surely hope that’s not true but the days of dealing with your local dentist who has a local company provide care to hometown local folks appears to be long past. Hopefully this gets resolved or we may have to seek other resolution.

My 1st time going to Dr Bierdeman,DMD. I was extremely Anxious at 1st..However, him, Ally and his remarkable team ( Especially Ally) reassured me and made me feel as if I’m more than just a Client..He was very gentle in providing the lidocaine injections for my tooth extraction. No pain whatsoever throughout the whole process. Dr Bierdeman and Ally helped me come up with a plan to help me get my smile and Confidence back❣️❣️Also, there office is Extremely Clean and Neat❤️🤌🏾🤌🏾..Thank God for them along with the front desk staff as well..❤️ Highly Recommend 10/10❤️❤️❤️

Everyone was so nice, and the dentist office itself was also really nice, smells great in there. The dentist and the dental hygienist made me feel comfortable and even the ladies at the front desk were really nice and helpful. 10/10 would recommended!!
