Volunteering here is always such a fulfilling and heartwarming experience. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and truly makes every person, whether in need or volunteering, feel heard, valued, and respected. One of the best things I did after coming to Vancouver was volunteering here. It happened quite unexpectedly, someone suggested it, and I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! I enjoy every single day I volunteer here. The energy, the people, the sense of community, it’s something truly special. If you’re looking to give back and connect with others in a meaningful way, I highly recommend it.

I am a person with very delicate health problems. I made the effort to go to the food bank, but it is not worth it for me because I am a single woman. They gave me a few things of food. It is true that what they do is a charity, but I saw a lot of stored food that did not even come close to giving me the most essential things that they say they offer, eggs, bread, milk, but they did not give me any of that. They only gave me vegetables that I would eat one day. I hope they improve the way they distribute food equitably to all the people who truly need the help of the food bank.

I never thought - even for a fraction of a second that I'd be needing the support of a foodbank. I used to be a donor for food bank. I would every week drop a goodies bag at safeway. Due to injury and not being able to return to work,I had to register with Foodbank. Every week I go and receive my share. I go to Greater Vancouver branch and it is like a family for me now. Every staff in the distribution section attend into details with professionalism. It has touched my heart. As a newcomer I appreciate that FB ( not face book) is helping people who reach out to them. Thank you everyone and one special person I will remember for life is Phil. I wish I knew all the names of the staff. The volunteers change with time but they are well trained by the FB staff. Thank you Canada 🇨🇦
