Customer experiences
Went for dinner and drinks on a Friday night whilst music bingo was on. Had a great time, with great service and insanely good food! They corrected a mistake made on our wine order which we really appreciated and ALL of our food was just amazing. We mostly had the pies, but also steak and the duck flatbread. The arancini was perfect and I lovely the honey carrots and parsnips! When we went to our friends wedding party the day after, we had more absolutely incredible food! The mini pies and Korean chicken bites were my personal favourite, but not one thing disappointed! Amazing service, such lovely lovely people and a lovely pub inside and out! Parking was a bit difficult when really busy on the Friday night. Oh and the toilets actually smelt divine, which are words I don’t ever think I’ve said before haha! Thanks so much for a lovely weekend, you smashed it! Wish we lived close enough, but I know where we are going when we come to visit our friend!! And I’m getting a pie!
Had a lovely meal here at 4.30 on a Saturday afternoon. Beautifully cooked burger for me and chicken, ham and leek pie for my wife. The pie came with a very generous portion of fresh, seasonal veg and mash. A delicious, rich sticky, toffee pudding for dessert, finished off a fantastic meal. The staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Had a great laugh with one of the servers. PS We enjoyed yesterday's meal so much we came back the following day! A warm welcome and a laugh with the staff, especially Evie, and another beautifully cooked, generously portioned meal. I had to have the burger again. My wife had the roast pork belly, faultless, apparently!
Called in for a coffee following a mooch around the nearby New Forest. Pretty much all the tables were booked for post New Year lunches, but was given a small table by one of the wood burners. The Green Dragon has lots of nooks and crannies iun which you can easily hold a family meal. The staff were friendly, there's lots of ephemera of the New Forest on the wall that's well worth a look. A good range of beer on tap, a couple I haven't tried before, but was driving today and any pub with a separate pie menu has definitely got something going for it. Will definitely be back to try both food and ales at a later date.
Absolutely beautiful traditional old pub! The Landlord is very lovely and so accomadating, we were early but even tho the pub was very busy he managed to give us a lovely table much before our booking. The food was fantastic, we had fish and chips and it was very very good, and a hearty portion. Can't fault the waiting staff either, attentive and polite but don't bother you whilst your eating. I would highly recommend a visit, its a gem of a pub! ❤️
