This is my 4th experience as a buyer interacting with a notary and their team. Expectations were set and met but the reason I am providing 5 stars rather than 4 was due to my meeting with Heidi. I've noticed the quality of in-person interactions deteriorate over the past few years - this was not the case with her. She struck a beautiful balance between care and professionalism for which I am greatful. Will be back for the next one.

Very poor professionalism and communication. We made an appointment for a meeting on the one day we had available to be in Ottawa to deal with a complicated estate situation. Our meeting was rushed so a lot of questions weren't answered. We sent an email with some follow up questions a few days later that was never answered. We repeatedly tried to speak with Heidi via the receptionist, email and phone message and we're ignored every time. The receptionist told us she was too busy to answer our questions. Finally after a month of being ignored we were forced to find another notary. If she didn't have time for us she could have just said that. Wasting a whole month was incredibly rude and unprofessional.

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND COMPLETELY BYPASS HEIDI ROBINSON. BEWARE AS A SELLER!!!! Never in the several real estate transactions we’ve done have we ever had an unprofessional experience; our experience with Heidi was -and STILL currently is- the worst that my husband and I have ever endured. Unfortunately, as a seller in QC, we didn’t get to choose our lawyer. It’s a total SCAM. Be prepared not to get your money and having to fight to get it! The entire staff and especially Heidi, was very disorganized, unprofessional, extremely rude, lazy and will never make any attempt to follow up with you or be proactive on your behalf! They are VERY UNETHICAL AND PURPOSELY IGNORANT! We are STILL fighting to get our money. It's one excuse after another (only if and when you get a response) and to say they are unorganized and unprofessional is an understatement. We have now had to open a file and put a complaint through the Bureau du syndic. How she still has a license is beyond me, seeing the other bad reviews, there are many others who have gone through the same thing of not getting their money! If you value transparency, communication, your home closing on time, and getting YOUR money, this is NOT the notary for you. Heidi is by far the most unprofessional notary we have ever dealt with. From the get-go, we knew she was way over her head as during our first meeting to signing the documents, we arrived at our scheduled time, and she was NOT THERE. We we’re rudely told we we’re not closing that day without any explanation. We were getting anxious about the delays, and she would ignore most of our various emails and phone calls like we never existed and she continues to do so! She withheld our transactional money beyond a reasonable timeframe while lying that the lender had not yet deposited the funds, even though we had the receipt/confirmation that the funds were deposited! She then told us it would be at least another week; I told her that was unacceptable, especially with the buyers allowed to move into the house. It was only when I said I contacted the chambre de notaries suddenly, within an hour she had that part of our money? Very suspicious to say the least! We are hoping by our review, this will save other people from the mess, the headaches, the frustration, and the scamming of their money. If anyone is going thru this, or has gone thru this, you can certainly contact me and we can discuss further or other steps to take to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else!

UPDATE/Response The fact that it took you 2 months to respond to this is telling.. This issue was finally resolved about 2 weeks after posting once I got the lender involved and they confirmed they never requested a held back. The held back was purely something your office did and without multiple follow ups, emails, calls, and a complaint to the regulatory body who knows if the client would have ever been reimbursed. This notary has held back funds for my client for over 3 months. The lender has confirmed that they are paid out in full and there was not a request for a hold back. Both myself (the mortgage broker) and the client have followed up many times. All of our attempts have been ignored and my client is still owed money by notary.
