Used them to import a vehicle - had a TERRIBLE experience. Frequently had to fill out forms for filing and do my own research (what am I paying them for?). I’ve spoken to other brokers since, and if you’re looking for a hands-off experience these are NOT the people to go with especially for the price. Left out important information about release of cargo - and made virtually no effort to keep me informed beyond the bare minimum. Additionally, I was threatened with fines by the US Department of Customs and Border Protection because Heizwerthy failed to pay relevant fees on time (which I paid in an invoice to them months prior). Situation was fixed without penalties - but a headache to deal with nonetheless.

Let me just say it was my first time ever importing items into the USA for my business so I was a newbie with very little knowledge but Heizwerthy, Latoria specifically held my hand all through the process. This is perhaps one of the best businesses I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I'm currently in the process of importing a mini excavator from China, with the help of Heizwerthy, and I MUST say that the service I have received goes far beyond anything I ever could have asked for or imagined. I hoped to find a company who would walk me through the first time shipper process, and after being very unhappy with what I was hearing from the many brokers I contacted, I decided to just hit the phone book, go local, and spend a little more to deal with someone that is right down the road from me. Well, after over 2 months, 60+ emails (several of those were me freaking out because I didn't understand the process), and them having to repeat themselves multiple times so I can wrap my head around what's going on, what I have received so far is this: #1 on the list, is patience. They have been VERY patient, and understanding of my ignorance - which is something you simply don't see these days, and I believe this is a reflection of the personal values that these people adhere to. #2 on this list is what everyone has been waiting for me to mention: cost. After everything I have listed, I just received a total of what my current charges are for their services. This amount, is LESS than what ALL the other brokers quoted, JUST FOR AN ASSESSMENT!!!! I would guess I googled 10 or so brokers before calling Heizwerthy. #3 when I was submitting rfq's, nobody would even speak with me without me paying for something first. Not Heizwerthy. I called, and spoke directly to the owner, who was more than happy to spend a minute or two just talking, like a normal person. We all see what's going on with our communities. We've all heard of, or seen how people treat each other in today's world, even when they're trying to be nice to you and without even specifying what that looks like you know what I mean. This might sound stupid, but this world desperately needs beacons of light in the darkness, people who still understand what it means to serve with humility. There is no higher aspiration, as this simple action is what brings hope into the world, and Heizwerthy needs to be recognized for this. I've been dealing with cut throat business and corporate politics for too long, This experience has been a breath of fresh air. Thank you.

I had an amazing experience using Heizwerthy and working with Latoria to import a shipment of plants through Atlanta. The customer service was simply amazing and Latoria was super friendly and extremely quick to respond to any emails. The plants were delivered to the plant inspection station and cleared customs in record time and were sent on their way to us in very quick order. We import plants fairly regularly and this was by far the best experience we've had. I can't recommend Heizwerthy enough to anyone looking for a customs broker to assist with importing shipments.
