I came to OHSU with specific medical needs and was referred to a physician who does not specialize in my area of concern. I have been trying to communicate my medical requirements to this doctor, expressing my frustration over feeling that my needs are not being met. Navigating this situation has proven challenging, during the past year I have encounter resistance from practitioners whose opinions appear to be politically motivated. (can’t say that’s the case in this situation but it wouldn’t surprise me) Today, I found out that this doctor is not even a part of the OHSU program for the specific surgery I require. I have already invested a significant amount of money into this process, and yet this physician could not set aside their ego to provide me with the necessary information regarding my referral's location. Instead, I received a note at the end of my appointment stating that I appeared "agitated for no apparent reason." Given that I had clearly articulated my concerns during both visits, it is understandable why I would feel frustrated. During my first visit, I clearly outlined my goals and what I needed from this clinician. To then have them write that I was unable to articulate my needs and label me as agitated made me feel like a loose cannon. The staff at OHSU are supposed to provide medical care and listen to their patients, which is the fundamental aspect of their role — aside from conducting basic procedures. Given that I am already driving 60 miles for appointments, I believe I deserve at least the bare minimum in terms of information and care. When I asked for the address of the location to which I was being referred, the response was that this information could not be provided. I was taken aback; I expected basic assistance, especially after making such a long journey. Ultimately, I found myself walking out of the appointment in frustration. It felt as though this person was more interested in being obstinate than in supporting me. I am not visiting OHSU for amusement; I have a clear objective involving a necessary surgery that remains unaddressed. It is disheartening to see that my experience is not unique, as reflected in other reviews.

I took my parents to this clinic twice. Staff, assistant, resident physicians were all kind and showed them genuinely care. The young lady at the front desk (I wish I know her name) was especially sweet and kind to them, bless her heart ❤️

We established care for my infant daughter here. I called prior to her birth and they were very informative, as to how to establish her with a PCP once she was born. We have had our appointments with Dr. Bruno’s far, who we are aware won’t be here for much longer, but she is such an amazing doctor! The nurses have been incredible as well.

I get consistent care here and am grateful for it but the front office, especially Vera, is amazing! Welcoming, helpful, always going above and beyond. It makes all the difference. Thank you!
