Customer experiences

I held a meeting at this hotel September.24-25. I booked 90 plus room nights and catering for 48 people. The rooms and hotel are very nice. However their customer focus, and communications seem to be a low priority. I do not feel like the hotel valued my business and many of my asks, including a 0 balance bill to my requirements were met with "hyatt cannot do that". My planner was very busy and OOO many times with no backfill. The sales manager did not reply to any of my queries. I would think a Senior Sales Manager would be a bit more customer focused than that. I have been holding meetings all over the country 3 times a year for 16 years with this set of executive clients and actually held a meeting at this hotel a few years ago. I would have to conclude the hotel facilities are good but I would hesitate doing business here again. A disappointing experience from this Hyatt hotel. I have used Marriott, Omni, Hilton, Private Boutique hotels, Kimpton and 4 seasons. I must say this overall experience was not at the same level of the other hotels

Highlight of my stay was the rooftop pool. Amazing views! The first day I stayed I was surprised that they did not have anyone tending the pool , no pool cushions were placed out. However the rest of my stay the pool area was maintained and they had someone on the outdoor bar/grill. The lady working at the pool while I was there was so sweet and helpful. Overall this hotel is really nice. The rooms were immaculate. Plenty of amenities in the rooms like a fridge and microwave. Even though the hotel is huge it is quiet. I could not hear the other guest. Great gym on site as well! Beautiful views of Baltimore inner harbor. Majority of the staff were friendly. Loved that there was a walk over bridge from the parking garage to the harbor. Overall rating for a solo traveler is 9/10. Hated that I had to pay to park even as a guest though. One recommendation the glass on the outside of the elevators looking out to the water deff needs to be cleaned.

My biggest issue with the my stay was the cleanliness of the room. I paid for a high floor and almost upgraded to the harbor view I am soo thankful I didn't. The ice machines were also dirty. What I did like is the location and the elevators were a vibe. Breakfast was $32, mind you I got it to go I didn't sit in and eat - insanely overpriced for the quality and taste of the food!!! I will find somewhere to stay next time I visit BMORE.

My wife and I traveled to Baltimore this past weekend and this place left a lot to be desired. For starters, we arrived about 30 minutes after our check-in time and were told we would need to wait for a room to become available. That's fine, we are patient and we can occupy ourselves. However, after 45 minutes and our 8-month old becoming extremely agitated, we finally had enough and went to the desk to ask for an update. Luckily, the desk manager was extremely kind and helped us out. Afterward we went to our room and found that our towels were dirty and we only had three pillows. We tried to call to the front desk but the phone wouldn't work. I also went to the market to try and find a phone charger or a toothbrush, neither of which were available. On top of all this, the parking situation is a nightmare and unnecessarily convoluted. Be prepared to pay a pretty penny despite being guests! Dinner was fine at the restaurant, and overall the walk to Camden Yards was fairly easy. But if you have the opportunity to stay somewhere else, I would do so.

Historic Inns of Annapolis is a hotel.
