Customer experiences
I've been here before and had an above average experience and I was so excited to eat breakfast here for my bday. It did not work out too well. We ordered BYObreakfast, so it wasn't that complicated. It was veteran day and we got there at 0745 hours and it wasn't busy yet. After our server brought us our food, we both took bites of the fried eggs. They were cold. I moved on to the B&G and they were cold as well. Turns out, all of the food was cold. We notified our server and she asked us if we wanted it heated up, or a new plate, in that order. Who wants to be offered up heated up food to a customer? We ordered fresh plates. We waited patiently and about 8 minutes later someone new brought our food. It wasn't our server, or the food runner. We think it may have been the manager, either way, he just put the food on the table and said "here you go". He didn't even give us an apology. Weird. We finally finished our hot breakfast and the server handed us the bill. I rarely expect to be compt for these situations(we weren't), but to not even get an apology for letting our food sit out and get cold and then serve it to us? I might go back, but I'll probably just stick with the one by Naftzger park, or not.
On the road in the Midwest, there are lots of breakfast options in the large cities. But which one should you try? If you're visiting Wichita, KS you can't miss with your morning meal at HomeGrown. We were fortunate to arrive a little before 8:00 on a Saturday, so no waiting in line! Service was excellent by Sammie, and the meal for five people was out pretty quickly. Everyone in our party was pleased with the meal and preparation and you can't beat that. I don't have any negative comments about our visit and highly recommend HomeGrown West in Wichita. Great experience.
I do not recommend this location to my 251K viewers…What a huge disappointment Homegrown…Ordered 2 Sweet Potato pancakes from the Al A Carte, which come with 3 cakes each, according to their website, but I only received 2 cakes each. I also ordered a biscuit and side of gravy, looks like someone took a bit out of the biscuit! Fruit tasted like someone put dish soap in it, potatoes had no seasoning whatsoever, what makes it even worse is that the front desk host was very rude upon pickup, she didn’t even greet us! What a huge mistake not once but twice!!! Lost a lost a loyal customer and many more to follow after today…
I’ve been waiting to go here and it was worth the wait. The food was very good and fresh. The service was excellent. I’m allergic to bell peppers so they made sure that my food was prepared without any in it or around it. The only thing that I would’ve changed is the size. It should’ve been in a bigger building with more room because when you go in, it just feels crowded the tables are really close together, but they make it work. The food is fresh fresh squeezed, orange juice and, farm raised eggs. The biscuits are like none I’ve ever had very good definitely worth going to. I would definitely go again.
