It's hard if not impossible to find good non-dairy (vegan) Mac and cheese options and Homeroom definitely knows what they are doing. They even had an option for a non-dairy brownie! Definitely going back!
Nhi BuiWhat a nice ambiance! We got the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Kogi Short Rib Mac. The Buffalo had a strong tangy kick with some spice. The Kogi Mac was delicious! The beef was plentiful and tender. For the price, it’s a great value to get a bunch and share.
Alice HouWe discovered Homeroom through a podcast interview with founder, and was surprised to find they're based in the East Bay, so we decided to check it out. We ordered an elote bowl as a starter and the seasonal special BBQ pulled pork mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the elote bowl arrived after the mac and cheese. The corn was soft and sweet, with delicious cheese and pepper powder that added a great kick to the flavor. The BBQ pulled pork mac and cheese was equally impressive—nice and cheesy, with surprisingly juicy pulled pork.
Angel SThis is the best comfort food in the bay area! Fast service and great food, never fails to amaze us. My boyfriend and I came yesterday and got two buffalo mac’s, recommended by our wonderful server Leilani. Delicious and hits the spot. Our only criticism is the music choices for the restaurant. Too loud and strange choices to play. Otherwise we had a fantastic time! We will be back soon!
