Very nice place to stay away from the town. Charming converted barn surrounded by countryside. Hattie is a lovely hostess, welcoming but not intrusive, very helpful about local pubs for food. Comfy bed, cotton sheets, good selection of teas in the room, super shower, all the comforts of home with the added bonus of a good breakfast locally produced.

My husband and I found ourselves unexpectedly in need of overnight accommodation near Newbury and we were referred to High Street Farm Boxford. How incredibly lucky for us. The bedroom and en suite were of five star quality and spaciousness but the stand-out delight was the exclusive sitting/dining room included within the very reasonable room rate in this converted barn. Both bedroom and sitting room were beautifully decorated including original paintings by the proprietor which are for sale.The breakfast which we ordered the night before was really outstanding, freshly prepared and abundant! To also have an outside table to sit at in this peaceful country setting ( as well as sheep and chicken to view) made it a lovely mini holiday. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

A lovely place to stay. We've stayed here so many times it feels like home. We used to stay for business purposes but now stay for short breaks. It's spotlessly clean, very comfortable and warm. The breakfast is all local produce and loads of it. Hattie is the kindest, most wonderful hostess. We can't wait to go back.

I chose this b and b randomly off booking.com. What a brilliant choice! It might not be the easiest place to spot when using your sat nav, but Boy it was worth the hunt.||The warmest of welcomes by Hattie led us to the two-bedroom barn annex. En-suite, spacious and tastefully presented with a communal lounge and great kitchen.||We had the quietest of nights in an amazing barn conversion with beams and skylight windows and breakfast was placed in the fridge to serve youself. Everything you could wish for at a price that most motorway chains charge for. ||There you get nothing. Here you got everything. Simply cannot rate it highly enough.
