This was first time visiting and really enjoyed the experience. Staff were really friendly and down to earth. Very accommodating for our needs. We had a group of four and a baby. Highchair was provided for the baby. We were running late due to flooding in the area but again they were very relaxed about it. Food was very tasty and great portion sizes. Reasonably priced mains, deserts were a bit more expensive but delicious. Would visit again, possibly when the weather is a bit better and can imagine would be lovely to sit outside. There was also a reasonably decent sized car park round the side of the building.

A great stay at the Crown and Garter.|We were there for a friend’s birthday. Experience as a whole really positive. Room was large in size, very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Shower good. Large wardrobe space with plenty of hangers. |Pub itself is lovely, cosy vibe with big fireplace, great food, limited menu which we quite like, but plenty of food options, and food better than average pub grub. |Service from all staff excellent but Manager was just lovely, made you feel very welcome indeed. We would definitely stay here again.

One night stay following a day at the races.||The room very clean and had everything we needed. Had room 1 which was nearest the pub but didn’t hear any noise at the end of the evening despite there being a large party in the pub. Temperature was easily adjusted. Large walk in shower.||We had a meal in the pub in the evening, had the burger which wasn’t the best I have ever had and although it looked nicely presented on a wooden board I would have preferred a plate but we still had a lovely evening. Partners meal was good.||Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would stay here again.

Wonderful, welcoming pub/restaurant/hotel. The accommodation is beautifully decorated, impeccably kept, neat and tidy. We found the beds to be super comfortable and we very much enjoyed a good night’s sleep. The bathrooms too were wonderfully spacious, and we were grateful of the lovely toiletries supplied. The pub and restaurant were equally impressive. The local beers were very much enjoyed. The wine list was perfect with just the right amount of choice. The menu and food are perfect. Good portions and cooked beautifully. Breakfast was great, homely, and thoroughly enjoyed. All the staff are lovely, helpful and attentive. Will defiantly be visiting again.
