Overall, as a recurrent Hyatt customer, I would say that I was underwhelmed with our stay. I was very excited when we booked our stay with two young kids based on the website, but everything just fell short. The staff were very, very friendly and went out of their way to make our small children feel comfortable. This is an absolute plus. This is very important, and I appreciate it! If you are are not familiar with the area (like us), beware that this resort is pretty isolated. Most non-resort activities and popular dining options are 30-40 minutes away. There are a lot of activities advertised, but it is disappointing to feel nickel-and- dimed for [almost] every activity at the resort. Fishing at their tiny pond, for example, is $40 per POLE per hour. You would think that some resort amenities would be included in the fee of your already pretty expensive stay. Otherwise, I did get a massage at the spa. Robert was absolutely wonderful and I would go back and get a massage from him any day.. I like the idea, but do not see our family coming back.

My husband and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay on 9-19 & 9-20. From the check in to check out we received excellent service. Wait staff in the Maverick, Maude’s and Harvest House breakfast were all the best . However 1st Day we both got the breakfast buffet. Our first round we had the little bitty plates. So we went back and found bigger plates and got a proper breakfast. But when we got back to our table, everything was gone. I think they thought we had left. We laughed and the Server got everything fixed back up. We Certainly enjoyed the lazy river . There was a bartender on the lazy river. He gave excellent service. He suggested a wonderful drink That had peach purée, orange juice, and rum. It was so refreshing and delicious. The young man’s name was Skyler. We much prefer getting a drink made from the hands of a super friendly bartender. I would vote him the best service I received at lost Pines. Great personality and sure made the lazy river even lazier. We stayed on ground level and had a cute little patio to sit in the morning or evening . Rooms were clean and bed and pillows very nice . Maude’s has a beautiful outside seating area . Nice menu . Not typical bar food at all. The Maverick we had burgers but the star was green chili queso with plenty of house made chips . Highly recommend Lost Pines Resort. Lots of large families , young families with small children. We found the guests to be friendly. Having great service is contagious. I would definitely return.

Our stay at the Hyatt was so much fun! The lazy river was the best part!! Even during its busy times it was still enjoyable to be in the water amongst the incredible outdoor environment. The property is in the most beautiful location. So hidden, quiet, and serene. Breakfast at Heartwood House was delicious. I would recommend ordering off the menu, not buffet. I would also recommend eating at Old Bucks for dinner and enjoying it pool side during these hot summer days! My only suggestion would be for staff members to start clean up in the early morning hours to provide a clean environment for those guests who go outside early in the morning. I went out with my girls for a walk to the river at 7:30 am and there was trash on the grounds left over from the night before. It was hard to enjoy such beauty amongst the trash on the grounds. Other than that I would highly recommend this resort and we can’t wait to be back!

Many great memories here for my family and the property gets better and better. My last TA review of this property was 2018. This was my third visit in 12 years and we received a complimentary Globalist upgrade to a king suite with a nice welcome amenity. The suites used to be a bit dark but they are light, bright and beautifully remodeled. Gone are the weird photos of random people in the suites.||Still lots of amenities for the kids. The folks at Renegade Trailhead are wonderful! ||Breakfast buffet is always great. They have biscuits and they have grits, which are two regional favorites!||Two negatives: ||The hotel is very towel stingy, like many Hyatts. Two wash cloths for two people doesn’t cut it…especially when there is no turndown service to replace them.||All of the sand has been removed from the zero entry pool area. Now, instead of having a nice beach, it feels like one is vacationing on a flood control spillway. Nothing but concrete over there.||Those two things notwithstanding, I highly recommend this Central Texas gem!
