Leslie MendozaReserved an auto transport trailer for 6:45pm for 24 hours. They closed at 7 so I made sure to get there early, I picked up the trailer about 6:30 but was not told since I picked up earlier I had to drop it off earlier. I was under the assumption I still had until 6:45 to return it and it was dropped off at 6:45 instead of 6:30. I was charged for a whole extra day of rental for dropping it off at 6:45 and could’ve avoided that extra day charge had I been informed I had to return it by 6:33 instead of 6:45. On top of that, one of the straps used to tie the vehicle being towed was ripped. The strap was not even able to go fully over one of the tires. I specifically told the employee that if I could still use it like that even though one of the straps was ripped and he just shrugged his shoulders. I needed to use the auto transport trailer so I still continued with the rental service but I had to use my own straps to make sure the vehicle I was moving was secure and not a road hazard. I was charged a whole extra day of rental for something that wasn’t even in good condition. Never using U-Haul services again.
Russel FuchsThe process to make the reservation and pickup/return the rental was good. The staff at the facility was also courteous and knowledgeable. However, the major problem I had was with the truck itself. There was no convex rear view mirror on the passenger side of the truck, which created a huge blind spot that was difficult to manage. Unfortunately I didn’t realize this was the issue until well into the rental period. I reported this problem when I returned the truck. Hopefully the mirror was fixed before the truck was rented again.
