I recently took a barre class with Marlana and I would highly recommend it! The second I walked into the studio she was so welcoming. She helped me get set up and gave me a tour. Throughout the class she explained each movement clearly and offered modifications. I will definitely be coming back!
I have taken a few classes at this studio, and I really enjoy it. I do not live in town, but I am often in the area shopping or going to the beach, so I appreciate that this studio is convenient for me. I have taken a barre class, Pilates, and barre lattes, which is a mix of the two. I recently took their barre crawl class two days ago. I am a member of ClassPass, so I paid $25 for the class. I arrived 10 minutes early. As soon as you walk in, they take your name and ask what size t-shirt you want. The t-shirt was so cute. It said “Meet Me at the barre,” and it was a gray tank top with white lettering. I thought it would look very cute, but I didn’t put it on because I like to wash everything before wearing it. Almost everyone else put on their t-shirts right away, except for about three other women. They had a choice of small, medium, or large. The first part of the evening was the barre class. Everyone got their shirts and went in for class. A woman with blonde hair helped me. She could be one of the owners or instructors, I’m not sure, but she was extremely helpful. She gave me a resistance band and a ball and helped me get the correct form. I really appreciated that because she noticed I was doing one exercise incorrectly, and she explained that it was why my back was hurting. The class was challenging. I would rate it about an eight out of ten, but I liked it a lot and definitely plan to come back. Everyone in the class was friendly. I don’t usually talk to people in exercise classes because I’m still trying to build a regular habit, so I didn’t know everyone, but the atmosphere was very welcoming. Part of the evening included little sample cups of smoothies. There were three different types and some snacks, which were nice. After class, everyone went over to the bar in the same shopping center, but I went home. Overall, I loved it. I’ve been to this studio a couple of times, and every time I enjoy the class. The instructors are very kind, answer any questions, and help you work on your form. I definitely recommend this studio.
I went to Pilates for the first time today. Karen is an excellent instructor who made sure I understood modifications. The class was challenging! I felt comfortable and not awkward, which I really appreciated. This studio seems to have a nice community of women. I’ll definitely return.
