A grey Saturday, where better to be than a warm, dry pub with great beer and food. Lovely retro atmosphere. Friendly people. The word is Sunday roast worth booking.
Sunday roast is good but service is subpar. Took a long time to get your order and another bit to get what you ordered. Last time couldn’t even get dessert because apparently time was up (reservation) due to very slow service. Ambient is good, same for decor. Rated 4 stars due to actually good food but honestly it’s more a 3.5 due to problems explained above.
The place is so lovely, especially at Christmas! I've been several times and the food is great however it's £28 a platter and this time I got barely any meat and for £28 I would expect way more.
