I took a picture of the truck that was dropping rocks on I-15 and submitted them to the company with the damage they caused. They acknowledged they were carrying an uncovered load, but refuse to pay for the damage. They said they didn’t have proof. They are completely dishonest and full of liars.

BEWARE of these trucks on the road!!! I would give negative stars if it were an option. I was driving along I-15 in the far right lane, about to exit, when just in front of me a Hugoe semi truck pulling a huge trailer filled with dirt and rocks veered from the middle lane to the lane next to me. A sputtering of rocks spilled from the trailer it was pulling, one of which hit my windshield. As this rock skipped across my windshield it left two large chips, one of which instantly spread to a small crack. I did my best to take a quick picture of the truck and trailer with the license plate before making my exit. I looked up the company online and called them to explain the situation. Their receptionist was nice (the only good thing about this company) and said she would send me a claim form to submit to them for repair. I completed the claim form and sent it, along with the pictures, to the company. After two weeks of hearing nothing back I sent a follow-up email. No response. I called the office and was told that the claims person was out to lunch but would call me back. No call. I called again and was told I would have to leave another message. I then received and email from the company saying they were claiming no liability and would not be responsible for any repairs. I called immediately after receiving the email to receive further explanation and was again told they were out of the office and that they would return my call. No call. I called the Highway Patrol and was told I could file a report, but unless I actually have the whole incident on video it is hard to prove anything. Who videos their daily driving? The HP did confirm that it is illegal to have such a load on the interstate if it is uncovered. This company is irresponsible and unresponsive. They know they are in the wrong, but they refuse to be responsible for their actions. If a trucking company is going to transport these loads at speeds of 70+ mph surrounded by other cars...cover the load! Follow the law and be responsible. Terrible and dishonest company.

The first time I nearly was ran over by Hugo’s Trucking Truck # DP-115 I brushed it off. However, moments later I nearly get squashed again by this trucker pretending his double haul is a monster truck. I’m guessing he was drunk, so he probably didn’t mean to. Be careful this guy will drive up your insurance costs fast!!
