Booked a move from our two bedroom stacked townhome style apartment (~800 sqft) to a three bedroom condo. Informed the company that there was a lot of stairs at the apartment and to bring a dolly to ease with the loading and unloading. Movers arrived at 8am and started to load up the 16’ truck… one box at a time. It took them 4hrs to load 1/2 of the apartment. We had them break at 1145am as we understood the stairs take a lot out of you. At 1230pm they started to unload… still one box at a time. We knew they had a dolly as they had to pull it out of the truck to grab boxes. By the time they were done unloading, it was 3pm. I assumed that the full apartment would’ve been moved by then as the consultation call made it sound like it would take them 6hrs max. Since it took the movers almost 8hrs to move half the apartment, we asked for them to go home. We didn’t want to be billed for another 8hrs of moving to finish the job. When I spoke to the company, they apologized but said that the workers complained about the stairs (which we did mention) and that it was icy. We deiced before they came and broke it up for them to be safe. There was minimal ice to the side of the apartment that they did not have to walk in. For almost $1000 and half the job done, was not worth the hassle. The company gave us $20/hr off for the inconvenience of not finishing the job. They did not disassemble or assemble any furniture, they dragged our mattress on the sidewalk and stairs, damaging it and getting salt in it, and didn’t bring the things to the rooms. They handed the boxes off to us for us to bring. Considering we had moved ourselves from a highrise, down 4 flights stairs, to this apartment in 5hrs….very disappointing. Would not recommend-not worth the headache they gave or the cost of “work”. I have attached photos of what was left in our apartment. It was most of the furniture which is was why we needed movers.

Had a great experience with KW Moving Service this week to move one piece of heavy furniture from a local store to our house and up a flight of stairs. I was able to get a quote really quickly and they scheduled me in soon after. The movers took care to wrap up the piece carefully and were super punctual with the scheduled time.
