Top notch service and top notch environment. Food is good but no wow factors. Tried the beef Wellington and it was very tender. It is a little pricy but it was worth it. I will keep it short for you to explore. Will visit again if I’m in the area.
Excellent food! Excellent service! Great ambiance! This is my favorite restaurant in the Santa Rosa area. It has been around for years. Their French inspired food is still the best! I always look forward to their Beef Wellington, followed by Chocolate Mousse. This time their included soup was a great Minestrone! My wife usually has the escargot in garlic and parsley butter. We share the fresh bread dipped in the escargot butter. They also have some good champagne selections like Schramsberg and Veuve Clicquot. They also have old favorites like Chateaubriand for two, and Cherries/Berries Flambee. The crafted wood furniture, scenic artwork, alphorn, and Swiss cowbells all contribute wonderfully to the French-Swiss ambiance. All on all, my favorite pick for classic French dining. Another excellent dinner at La Gare this year! We had Beef bourguignon (Beef Burgundy) and Wild Alaskan Salmon.
