Customer experiences
EDIT 2: See original reviews below. After some back and forth, customer service reached out and refunded me half the cost of the bag, since I'm unable to return it and it's still damaged. I appreciate the compensation after so many defective bags and hope no one has to go through the same process! EDIT 1: I did as instructed by customer service and reordered the bag (no compensation, just returned and reordered at full price). Lo and behold, I got another damaged one! There's a small scuff on the front, and the stitching is unraveling on the strap. It's certainly not as bad as the first one, but seriously? What is being done about product quality? And who is sending out damaged goods from your warehouses? Fool me twice, I guess. Original review: I have shopped at Simon's for years and generally love their products. However, I recently made an online purchase and was extremely disappointed with my experience. I ordered a purse and the one I received had the clasp attached backwards. There was a tag on the bag itself that said "as is: buckle is opposite way" which means that whoever packed my order knew they were sending me a defective product, despite me paying full price. Why sell a defective product at all, knowing full well it isn't the advertised product, and at full price no less? I called customer service to see what my options were and the representative I spoke with told me to simply return and repurchase the product. When I explained the defect, they didn't even acknowledge it as an issue. The bag was meant as a gift but I doubt I will be reordering it now, and am hesitant to shop here in the future. I expected a lot better, having had good experiences with Simon's in the past.
I’ve been shopping at Simon’s for decades. Home goods and clothes! I usually shop online and occasionally shop in person at the department store. I must say the service yesterday was on fire. Every employee we ran into was so kind, friendly, professional and we even had a few good laughs with customer service. Did you know they have an area that does alterations? I DID NOT! I bought a sweater that had a little area the yarn had been pulled. We were told to go to alterations and they fixed it in seconds. Absolutely impressed!
I’ve always been a loyal customer of Simons, but my recent experience left me quite disappointed. I visited the store today to purchase a dress that was clearly marked at $29. However, when I went to pay, the cashier informed me that the price was $59. I asked if they could honour the displayed price, as I have over 10 years of retail experience and am familiar with price-matching policies. The cashier called over the manager, YASAMAN , and I kindly asked her to honour the marked price. Unfortunately, she refused in a very dismissive and rude manner, stating that she “doesn’t care about other stores’ policies” and that “this is Simons’ policy.” I was shocked by her tone, especially coming from someone in a managerial position. Ultimately, I still bought the dress at the $59 price, but I felt the way the situation was handled was unprofessional and disappointing. I’ve always trusted Simons to provide good customer service, but this experience left me questioning that. I hope the store can reconsider how these situations are managed, especially since I’ve always been a loyal customer. I would appreciate clarification on the pricing policy as well. For your reference, you can check the photo.
I’ve purchased several items in the past. Last week I saw shoes that I liked but I wasn’t sure. I came this week and they weren’t on the shelf. Colin was helping me to find the model and to see what he could do. He took his time to make sure that it’s gone. Then he check the sizes. Literally tried everything he could do. This store is all about customer service and this is why I love it. They have unique stuff.
