La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lexington Park - Patuxent

The service and location was perfect for attending a commander's football game. I appreciated that they allowed me to stay parked there for the game. It saves on purchasing a parking pass. The rooms are outdated, in the furniture could be updated. We also had a strong smell in our room. Very perfumed cleaners were used, but we didn't complain as it was only one night. The bathroom was very clean. The bed frame kind of threw me off, but I understand it's just a basic room.

Do not be tempted to book this place for a concert at Northwest Stadium. Yes, it is walkable, but they overbook. We were told upon check in (at 5pm, 2 hours past the posted check of 3pm) that our room was not cleaned yet and it would be about 30 minutes. The receptionist offered to hold our bags, took my ID and confirmed our reservation. We decided to leave for the concert before the room was ready and he assured me that that was fine and I could get the room key when we got back. Nevertheless, at midnight when we returned, there was a new receptionist who told us they had no rooms, no paperwork for me, (except my reservation!) and there was absolutely nothing she could do. We had no place to sleep and ended up driving 3 hours home in the middle of the night after a very, very long day. Highly recommend avoiding this place despite its proximity to the venue. It is not equipped to handle stadium guests.
