I came across this little gem of a shop last year. If it was local to me i would be in there every day. Michaela is so friendly and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. Her advice and knowledge is second to none. I do try to get there every month for my fix and stock up on yarns. Since going to A modern yarn i have become hooked again on knitting and yarns and with Michaela's guidance, more adventurous. I went to A magic Loop course last week and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I have been knitting since i was 12 yrs of age but Michaela has taught me so much already. I have booked on the Finishing Techniques Workshop in April and looking forward to improving the finishing products of my knitting. Yesterday I attended yet another fabulous workshop at A Modern Yarn, learning such a lot of new 'finishing off' techniques as well as having a great time. Whether it's to purchase yarn, meet like-minded friends at Knit and Natter or learn new skills at a workshop, Michaela always makes you feel so welcome. A Modern Yarn is a lovely little shop absolutely filled with treasures, i never leave empty handed! There are so many different yarns and accessories to choose from and so much inspiration. Michaela is so welcoming and has so much knowledge to share. There's so many courses to choose from for a variety of makes and skills. I have met so many people here from all different walks of life, all with a passion for knitting and crochet from beginners to advanced pros. Michaela has created a wonderful place where everyone is welcome and has brought so many people together. Would highly recommend a visit to A Modern Yarn
