Customer experiences
Wonderful ICU staff. My mom really appreciated that the nurses were quiet when they came in, especially at night. It is fine to be upbeat, but she doesn't want a nurse barging in at 4am with so much energy. She mentioned that one nurse would even come in with a flashlight instead of turning on her lights. It was nice that they considered how she might be feeling and even stepped up their game with the flashlight when she mentioned she appreciated not being disturbed at night so much here. Of course the food is terrible, but that is to be expected at a hospital now. The food at the cafe is much better so if you are here as a patient ask your guests to buy you food from the cafe before they come up. My mom loved it when I brought her soft serve from the cafe while visiting.
Receptionists are very uncaring to the point of being rude! There is no place for patients writhing in pain to lay down! They are placed in the waiting room with all the other people. I’ve worked in hospitals for years and find this behavior appalling! The medical student dr was awesome, dr was nice, nurse with the spider tattoo was very nice. But no one checked on us once we were back on the waiting room! We asked for more pain meds- were told someone was checking but no one came back! Wow!! It could be them in this situation one day! Receptionists are all on their phones and not to be bothered!
Gosh where do I begin? Unfortunately Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital practice a method called Non Compete that puts profits of its shareholders before the well being of its patience. I was diagnosed with Stills disease aka juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, I'm also a survivor of childhood molestation and later in my life spousal abuse. I'm now 63 years old and it took everything in my sole to come forward to my doctor and tell him what had and was happening to me. He really helped me get through a very horrible situation. I also have a son who suffers from autism. It took years to get him comfortable and into the doctors office without having a complete meltdown to the point he would hit and hurt himself. My son only trusted and was comfortable seeing this doctor for almost 20 years. After all of the care a help I and my family received from this doctor that what helped and healed us . I truly believed that he and the medical community we were part of had are best interest at the top priority. Then after over 20 years the doctor left and went to work a Legacy Good Samaritan hospital in Portland Oregon. I would quickly learn about Providence hospital and Legacy Good Samaritan hospital practicing and using what is called a non compete claus. When the doctor switched hospitals he worked at he was no longer able to treat me and my sons any longer. It doesn't mater what is best for the patient its all about the hospitals losing your business. What is best for my son with autism doest matter in the at all. The office manager at his office at Legacy Good Samaritan is the person whom decides whether go get to see him or not. Me and my son aren't even worth a phone call from her. What a horrible person she is. My son with autism doesn't matter to her or Legacy Good Samaritan hospital. The shareholders come first. Her and them practice profits before patience. I couldn't recommend a organization like Legacy Good Samaritan less. Bottom line is that you simply don't matter there
The wait time at this location is beyond insane! I am literally vomiting and have severe cramps with little to no concern from staff. They have no idea on timeline. Mind you I was sent via the Urgent Care with supposedly the same information, a call ahead reference to be put on the board. Clearly that meant absolutely NOTHING! It’s been almost 2 hours of just waiting, in dire need of an IV…no help 😢 waiting room has a total of 5 people in here waiting.
