Dr. Escobar Almeida is a fabulous psychiatrist! She is attentive and is available in between appointments with messaging if needed. I have never had a problem with the Telehealth platform.

The psychiatrist is very good and I like her a lot, but the patient portal has been very difficult to use. When it doesn’t accept my password, it doesn't send an email to reset it. But apparently that’s the only way to communicate with the psychiatrist’s office. Also, days before my session, I get an email asking me to check in. A day or two later I get a text asking me to check in. I have learned NOT to check in earlier than a few minutes before the session because checking requires confirming my contact info, confirming my insurance info, asking me the depression questions, and getting my payment. Then it sends me to the window where I wait for the session to start. If I do this days ahead of time, I have no way to log on to the session on the day of. All I can do is use the check-in process to go through ALL THAT ALL OVER AGAIN, to get to the window where I wait for the session to start. I never get a link which would let me check in days early and then use a link to start the session on the day of. WHY? Why make me go through a 10-minute check-in process more than once to get on the call? Why not give me a link? I hate their patient portal. It's terrible.
