Customer experiences
By department: Communications = A, no complaints, minor in Journalism. Writing = C. I majored in Writing (which you can do at this University) but in hindsight, the major was absolutely not worth the cost with the advent of AI.
Lovely people, beautiful campus, top notch academics. Looking forward to my son starting in August!!!
Update: My original review is still true but changing to 2 stars. After investing close to $300,000 in education, their follow-through with career placement was grossly unacceptable. Return on investment simply isn't there... Original review: Loyola Maryland is an excellent school -- really top notch faculty and great environment for students to learn and grow. Other posts here are way off topic. The school itself is fantastic and the campus is beautiful.
The school has made honest effort to be less racist and take bias reports seriously. Still it feels as though horrible people still get away with a slap on the wrist and don’t learn anything. Also the school does not care about the quality of the engineering department. They have some great and caring professors there but the quality isn’t consistent throughout and you can get some really poor quality engineering education. Go elsewhere if you can for STEM majors. I had to teach myself an unacceptable amount in order to learn material.
Loyola University Maryland is a private university.
