I recently visited Lux Boutique in search of good-quality jeans—and I’ll admit, the denim is solid. I liked the fit and feel, but paying $140 for two pairs had me second-guessing if the price truly matched the value. Curious about the return policy, I went online only to find something astounding: store credit only—no refunds. That was a big letdown, especially since I hadn’t even removed the items from the bag. While I respect a business having firm policies, this one feels a little outdated and rigid, especially for a boutique in a small town (not a major city where higher price points are more expected). The woman who sold me the jeans was kind and helpful, but never once mentioned the return policy, which I think should be clearly stated at checkout, if not before. I ended up not finding anything else I truly liked in-store, so even store credit felt useless. The jewelry looked very costume-like, and much of the clothing gave off a dated vibe—like marked-up resale pieces. It gave the impression of “I paid $27 for this but I’m selling it for $60 just because I can.” Pros of the Return Policy: • Gives customers an opportunity to exchange for something else if truly unhappy • Encourages in-store support and loyalty to small business Cons of the Return Policy: • No full refunds—even if the item is unused and in the bag • Lack of verbal disclosure at checkout is frustrating • Limits customer options, especially when inventory doesn’t offer many appealing alternative. Final Thoughts: I love supporting women-owned businesses, but this experience left me disappointed. The return policy alone is enough to make me hesitant to shop here again. With a few tweaks—like offering partial refunds or at least more transparent communication even a better selection of style—I might reconsider. But for now, it’s a pass. Rating: 3/5 (Points earned for quality denim and service, but lost for return limitations and pricing that doesn’t match the local market.)

Insanely cute boutique!! I love everything I buy from there!! Each time I have been there the employees have been super nice! I’m always shocked when they recommend something out of my comfort zone and I end up loving it!! I can wear the things I buy for work and for casual wear!! Super versatile!!!

Absolutely LOVE LUX!! The selections and styles are on trend with so many fun items. You can choose from comfy and fun to famcy night out with all the great accessories....purses, sunglasses, hats, jewelry, hair clips.....you name it, LUX has it! The prices are excellent and always sales going on and sale rack in the back!

We had a successful first time out looking for HoCo dresses at LUX. Their dresses are Stunning! Jess (☀️) was Wonderful giving us assistance & suggestions how to accessorize the dress we purchased. We will definitely be frequenting LUX for future formal occasions.
