We stopped here while traveling, so we weren’t familiar with the restaurant. The interior is structured like you’d find in a pub in Ireland. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage, with colcannon. My husband ordered the shepherd’s pie. The food was fantastic!!! We travel thru this area a couple times a year. This is our go-to from now on.

Great little spot to stop for lunch! They do allow you to have your pets on the outdoor patio which is a huge bonus while traveling. Great food!

Worth a stop. The downstairs pub area is the best part. The food offerings are great, quality is not high but the flavors are tasty. Full bar, and gambling too! Quite a cozy place, just wish it was not so far away.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. It’s that quintessential small-town restaurant vibe where everyone is friendly, and the decor adds a charming touch of local flavor. The standout feature of our visit was undoubtedly the service. Our server, Nichole, was absolutely fantastic. Her attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm for the menu made our dining experience even more enjoyable. She had an incredible ability to anticipate our needs and answered all of our questions with a smile. It’s clear that she loves her job, and her passion truly enhances the restaurant's welcoming ambiance. Now, let's talk about the food — simply delicious! I ordered the fish and chips and I must say they were something special. Unlike any fries we've tried before, they had the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, seasoned just right. I wish more places had fries that good. It’s obvious that the chefs put thought and care into the menu. The portion sizes were generous, leaving us satisfied but also excited for our next visit. The overall ambiance contributed to the experience as well; the intimate setting, friendly chatter of fellow diners, and the comforting scent of home-cooked meals created an atmosphere that’s hard to beat. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great food, and feel like part of the community. We left Mackey’s with full bellies and happy hearts, promising ourselves that this would become a regular spot for us.
