Decided to book a same day tour up the river with them when our other provider cancelled. They were extremely helpful and quick to get us on the excursion and we had a lot of fun riding up the river and enjoying the views of nature. We stopped and got a history lesson on living in the area which was very informative. The guides were excellent and I would highly recommend this company.

An Alaska local told me that this was awesome, and they were so right! We were lucky enough to book this only a few days before our adventure, but I got the impression that trying to book last minute isn't advised. We loved every second of this jet boat ride and would recommend that anyone going to Alaska book with Mahay's! Israel was our Captain on the Devil's Canyon tour, and he was fantastic. We loved the mix of local history he gave infused with his own personal family history of the area! The adventure culminated when you get to Devil's Canyon, and it is a wild but super fun ride while you're in there! They did an excellent job of describing what to expect and keeping us safe while making sure we enjoyed the adventure and got great photos! Alice was the Naturalist who helped guide our tour, and she was awesome as well! She was so knowledgeable and did a great job showing us what life may have been like for the native Alaskans. If you're going to be in the Takleeta area, you absolutely have to go on this tour with Mahay's. If you aren't going to be in the area, you might want to reconfigure your Alaska plans to include it! It was one of our favorite parts of an 11 day trip inland in Alaska!

We took the 2 hour adventure ride. It was wonderful. Our two guides were great. Very informative. We got to see the whole Denalli range. Only 1 percent of people get to see that in the summer, so we felt really lucky. You get off the boat at a spot and get to see how a trapper lived in the old days, which was only about 130 years ago. We did see a bald eagle aling the shore. They do have other tours, but they fill up, so buy your tickets ahead. The bost ride is really smooth and comfortable. It is a closed boat unless you want your window open. There is a bathroom on the boat and on the stop.

This experience was so cool! Our boat captain and naturalist were both very knowledgeable and shared great stories about the river and local ecology as well as living in the Alaska. We did a short tour with a small nature hike and it was perfect for everyone in our group ages 22-78. Thanks for making our trip to Alaska special!
