AVOID MARTELLO GROUP (Formerly Wisteria/ARAC) – A Tenant’s Warning My experience renting from Martello Group was deeply frustrating and unfair. Based on my interactions, this company prioritizes profits over tenant well-being. Here’s what I observed: Delayed or Ignored Repairs: Basic maintenance requests took weeks to address (if they were handled at all). Unprofessional Communication: Emails and phone calls were often dismissive, condescending, or unnecessarily stressful. Questionable Business Practices: Their lease agreements contain ambiguous clauses that seem designed to favor them over tenants. They’ve rebranded multiple times (ARAC → Wisteria → Martello), which raises concerns about transparency and accountability. If you value fair treatment, timely repairs, and honest leasing terms, I strongly advise considering other rental options. Landlords who work with this company should thoroughly vet their practices. I had the unfortunate experience of renting from this company, which previously operated under the name Wisteria. The decision to change their name seems like an attempt to escape the avalanche of negative reviews they rightfully earned. My tenancy with them was a nightmare from start to finish, marked by countless issues and a complete lack of professionalism or concern for tenant well-being. Throughout my tenancy, I had to interact with them on numerous occasions to address various problems with the property. What struck me most was their utter indifference to creating a safe and habitable living environment. Even when I provided them with documentation of issues and, in some cases, police reports related to incidents during my stay, they remained obstinate and refused to take any meaningful action. Incredibly, this company also attempted to shift blame onto me for problems that clearly weren't my fault. It's disheartening to deal with such unprofessional behavior and a complete lack of accountability. Their tactic of responding to negative Google reviews, as they did under the Wisteria name, by attempting to paint the reviewer as the problem is a testament to their unwillingness to address their own shortcomings. My only regret in this entire ordeal is not renting directly from a landlord instead of going through this rental company. My advice to anyone considering renting from this company, whether it's under their new name or any other, is to avoid them at all costs. Your peace of mind and well-being are worth more than any rental property, and you're unlikely to find either with this company. I sincerely wish I had heeded the warnings of previous reviewers, and I hope that my review helps others make a more informed decision when choosing a rental company.

I have been with Wisteria homes and Martello group for awhile now and I am very pleased as landlord. They are fair and reasonable with tenants and as landlord my property is well taken care and they quick to respond to request and to deal with tenant issues. If you are looking for honest reliable company to do property management, I would highly recommend them.
