My partner and I visited Matts Kitchen last night - we’ve traveled down from London to stay in Bruton for the weekend and had a superb experience! Matt is extremely welcoming and everything about his food and the restaurant was authentic, this truly felt like being at a dinner party with home cooked food, but to a very high standard. What a gem! Such a special place. After paying a deposit having emailed to reserve a table & describing all the various allergies of me & my friends you simply turn up and experience a carefully adapted & flavoured menu. Matt totally understands portion size & combinations of flavours & textures. I feel very fortunate to have Matt’s Kitchen to take my friends to. Thanks for all your customised attention.
What a place. A different seasonal menu each month where you get everything listed, and it's BYO 👀 The service and atmosphere was beyond expectations. Matt greeted us at the door and went on to explain each dish as it came out. I emailed prior to the meal to ask if a candle could be put in my husband's dessert for his birthday... Every course featured a candle. Brilliant! The food was of course out of this world. Stunning flavours and all presented beautifully. I cannot recommend Matt's Kitchen enough.
