The worst upmost unprofessional medical facility I’ve ever been to. I was in a car accident and brought there via EMS. Instead of rolling me to a room to be seen by a doctor, they rolled me to the front to the registers office to sign agreements. Then, the nurse tried to make me wait up front until I reminded him I arrived by EMS. They suddenly found a room for me. As I am writing this, checked out and sitting in the lobby, they have an old man in a wheelchair chair with a breathing tank and he’s asking them not to pick at him because the three females upfront are mocking him. Unbelievable and disgusting and disturbing. Please do NOT come here. If you’re not from around here like I am, tell your ambulance service to take you to MUSC instead.

My recent visit to the emergency Wednesday October 9. The staff and the entrance desk took care of me as soon as I came in the door. When they put me in a room the nursing staff, doctors, and other staff members where good and professional. When they transferred to the observation area. Nursing staff was ok but they had one nurse name Latasha R. RN that talked to me so nasty. She came in my room with an attitude. I can't remember everything she said but I do remember when I asked why the room is so cold she stated "I don't have anything to do with that" The next time she came in the room we got in to an altercation. I told her I wanted another nurse. When I was at the desk waiting to be discharged I asked for her name. She wrote her first name on a piece of paper and stated she does not give anyone her last name. I reported her to the supervisor. Not all nurses are like this but she is a bad representation of nurses and a Mcleod employee.

I had never experienced such attentive care in an emergency room before. The nurses in the ER went above and beyond and truly exceeded my expectations. However, once I was admitted, the level of care changed dramatically — and not for the better. There seemed to be a great deal of uncertainty among the doctors regarding my diagnosis, which led to days of unnecessary testing and medication. At times, I had to drink water left over from the previous night just to take my medication. For an entire day, I had to repeatedly request basic necessities like toilet paper, extra pillows, blankets, and even clean wash cloths and towels. My room was cleaned only once, and even then, there was visible dust left on the floor, and the bathroom had not been properly mopped. Meal trays would often remain in my room long after mealtime — both breakfast and lunch trays still sitting there when dinner arrived, leaving no room for the next meal. Despite everything, I do want to acknowledge and thank the techs who made an effort to improve my experience. They showed kindness and professionalism when most others seemed to overlook or ignore my requests. Their help did not go unnoticed and was deeply appreciated. That said, this was, without a doubt, the worst hospital experience I’ve ever had. I would never want to return here and could not, in good conscience, recommend this facility to anyone else.

Can't brag about this facility enough, especially L&D. Nurses, great! Doctors, awesome! Facility in general, clean, nice, a little hard to navigate, but I figured it out. Food was a little lacking, but its a hospital, I wasnt expecting filet mignon. We were on vacation and had to be there in an emergency situation, and they made us feel better and more reassured than our doctors back where we're from.
