Meadville medical center has got to be one of if not the worst hospital in the state, I came in with my pregnant girlfriend who was in the first trimester having a serious allergic reaction to her prenatal and coughing up blood, it took 2 hours for someone to even call for us and by that time our worries were threw the roof all they did was take her vitals and put a wrist band on her and said “we’ll call you back soon”, proceeded to wait for another hour which was uncalled for and unprofessional seeing how it was a TOP TIER EMERGENCY so we ended up leaving cause she was tired of waiting and she finally started to feel better (4 hours after we arrived). They gave us nothing but stress, my review is long enough so I won’t bore you with the other details like the mental institution and such. If you had a good experience here lucky you there is a reason this place doesn’t even have a 3 star rating. I get this place is the only hospital closest for most people but they genuinely don’t care for your health don’t bring your family here cause you have to be actively dying for them to even acknowledge you. By far the worst hospital and I pray for the day this place is shut down.
The CNAs work very hard and are so helpful and friendly. My husband had surgery and the pre op nurses were wonderful also. The nurses were RUDE. Whatever you do - don't ask questions. That's so sad. Especially when you have a loved one in the hospital. So nurses are in it for the money and nothing else
I came into Meadville Hospital while traveling. I found myself very sick and needing medical help. I can not express my appreciation for this hospital and the staff that took care of me. In all my travels I've never experienced a more caring and professional hospital and nurses. I will always be thankful to them.
