After calling ahead to confirm that I could get a COVID booster, I went in to get my shot. An employee proceeded to send me on a wild goose chase, telling me that I had to take my foreign vaccine info to Middlesex Health Unit because I didn't have a record of ever getting my first vaccine. Wouldn't listen to any further clarification. MHU confirmed this was not the case, they don't need any previous immunization record anymore, and showed me where to find this confirmation on their website. Went -back- to the pharmacy, showed him where to find it on the website, and now the story changed... To the "best of his knowledge", the vaccine was only available to vulnerable populations. It's a good thing I didn't have much faith in the best of his knowledge anymore, because I made a call to MHU to confirm that it is available to the general public, and I'll be going to a different pharmacy tomorrow. I'd have understood if they told me they were reserving their supply for at-risk populations, but to tell me it wasn't available at all was dishonest and misleading. Extremely disappointed in the unprofessionalism and lack of knowledge at Medpoint.
