MEI Fitness Review: Frustrating Cancellation and Billing Nightmare! I’ve been a member of MEI Fitness for a few years since my previous gym closed during COVID. I generally enjoyed the facilities, community, and amenities—until I tried to cancel my membership in May 2025. The cancellation required an in-person signature, which I completed without issue. However, in August, I received an email about a past-due balance. When I called, I learned my cancellation had been voided because my card didn’t process the final 30-day payment (covering June). As a result, I was charged for five additional months. No prior notice was given via phone because my number was incorrectly entered in their system—something they dismissed as a “courtesy” rather than their responsibility. I requested to speak with a manager or owner Mel multiple times, including in-person visits, but received no callback. Kerry, a manager, refused to negotiate or waive any fees, insisting on full payment. After messaging their Instagram, I got a call from another manager, Sarah, but we’ve only played phone tag with voicemails and texts—no actual conversation. On October 1, I visited the Fishers location again. My balance had increased by an additional $100.90, and it had been sent to collections on September 29. Staff couldn’t reach management, provide details on the extra fee, or name the collections agency. I paid the original five-month balance to settle with MEI directly but refused the collections fee, as it wasn’t owed to them. The next day, a non-manager representative called, saying I’d still need to pay the $100.90 to be removed from collections. This escalation feels unethical, especially for a locally owned, Christian-based company, over a voided cancellation and minor initial payment issue. I’ve been proactive for over a month, yet faced poor communication and inflexibility. As someone with excellent credit, I’m concerned about the long-term impact. I advise potential members to carefully review cancellation policies and ensure all contact info is accurate. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend MEI based on this experience. Sincerely, CF

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mei Fitness is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to. It’s always spotless, the equipment is top-notch, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is motivating, clean, and welcoming—whether you’re a beginner or experienced. I always look forward to going, it’s the best part about my day. Hands down, the best gym in Indiana.

This place is amazing. It has a bunch of equipment. The treadmills even have fans! It's also a 24 hour gym. The best one I have seen out of all the ones I tried looking at! Definitely recommend you try it. However, it doesn't offer daily gym passes or I would rate it 5 stars. I only took two pictures while I was there unfortunately :(. I may add more pictures later though!
