Mera Salon & Spa Suites Gonzales

I went in for a massage on Friday morning that was for 9:30. I arrived at 9:18 and told the receptionist I was there to see Raegan. She walked down the hall to see if the massage therapist was ready, then came back and told me that they hadn't arrived yet, but would be there in 5 mins. I sat and waited as 9:18 became 9:25, then 9:31, 9:35, 9:40. As I sat there and waited over 20 minutes, the receptionist never looked up from her phone. I messaged a friend of mine who knew the massage therapist, and she said it was odd that Raegan was running late, because she was always on time. She sent her a message for me to see what was going on and I sat and waited. A few minutes later, Raegan calls out my name and greets me, saying she'd been waiting for me and was about to send a message. At this moment, the receptionist, Mikah, finally looks up and says, "Oh.....I thought she asked for someone else." So during the more than 25 minutes that I sat there waiting, she never bothered to check to see if there was an issue, to see why I had been waiting there for so long after she had told me initially that it would be "5 mins." When my appt. ended and I left the salon, Mikah, the receptionist, not only didn't lift her head that was buried in her phone, but didn't speak a word - not "have a good day," not, "sorry about the misunderstanding earlier," nothing. To be honest, I have no idea what they employ her for. She seems like she can't be bothered to do what little is required for her "job," which is to greet customers and make sure they get to where they're going. She's utterly useless as a receptionist and this company is literally only paying her to sit on her phone and do nothing. She has nothing even behind the desk - no computer, nothing, so her only job is to actually greet and assist customers that walk in. Her behavior is unprofessional and embarrassing; she's as good as having an empty seat there. Luckily, Raegan was kind enough to give me my entire 90 min session, and she was wonderful and I will definitely go back to her. Thankfully, now I know where her suite and spa waiting area is, so I can bypass the front desk altogether and not have to deal with such a pathetic excuse for an employee, who clearly has no concern for the people whose professions she may be affecting, nor their clients' personal time.

Randi Bourque is the best hair stylist! She’s always more than accommodating with both schedule and what the girls and I want to do with our hair. Majority of the time I go in not sure of what I want and always walk out amazed at her work. She’s not only great at her job, she makes everyone feel like family! By far the best! I would recommend anyone and everyone looking for someone to style, color, highlight and cut your hair, Randi is your girl! We love her
