My son had to stay about four days and unfortunately he was placed on the fifth floor. He was NOT allowed to have an overnight visitor per the first nurse. However a day or two later a nurse asked his guest if she was staying overnight and they told her they were told she couldn’t stay. It seems the Nursing supervisor and the 5th floor doesn’t allow anyone an overnight support person! It seems this should be a hospital policy not an independent decision made by someone who isn’t even there overnight! And they are terrible about answering emails!

I had Nasal Sinus Surgery yesterday and for the most part, it went well. The main complaint I have is that the Nurse in the recovery room removed the cotton balls from inside my nostrils since I was not bleeding. Which was fine, but another Nurse who completed my check out did Not give me any cotton balls, no cotton gauze pads or medical tape, Nothing! I was bleeding through out the night from both nostrils and I had to fabricate toilet paper with tape to control my bleeding. I have had surgery at Mercy Medical before and this was a first. I did not think too much about it when I was there, because I was still very nauseous from the Anesthesia. My insurance is being billed around $30,000 just for the hospital portion, and I could not even get a guaze pad to take home with me. I am Not happy.

Was admitted to hospital i believe 2 weeks ago was taken by ambulance staff and doctors was very generous and nice to my needs.Met with my surgeon has well he explained to me about my surgery only thing I disliked my surgey was supposed to of been in morning but got delayed till 5 pm only thing I was upset about. Oh ya had exrays done after tht waited like half hour just to get back to my room thought mybe there should of been a little more help but thts me

Met with Dr. Gordon at the General Surgery Clinic. He was wonderful explained things in away I could understand them. So if anyone has a hernia I would recommend going here
