I had the worst experience yesterday. I had to come to the er explaining I might be in the process of miscarriage eptopic. I verbalized with the nurse I did not want a urine test, she demanded one anyways. she kept talking over me and would not let me tell all my symptoms and what's been going on. When I told her one of my symptoms were fatigue, and all my pregnancy symptoms. She flat out said you probably have covid. I did not have covid. I asked can we do an ultrasound she said no because we solely rely on urine results. Even when I specifically told her my urine hcg has been severely flactuating. Even the receptionist was awful. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Waiting is horrible, staff is horrible

Place is honest joke went there yesterday no one in the ER nurses walking past on there phone sat there for a hour and asked when will I be brought back because I was the only one in there and she replied with “oh the nurse will be here soon” which one I had 5 walk past me in the last hour. And also told by the security guard I needed to “shut up and be quiet he gets I’m in pain but I need to stop”Not professional at all!!! Went again today because I was still sick waited today for 2 hours. People who checked in after me as I’ve been waiting for 2 hours they get placed in-front of me. I guess when your puking blood it’s not an emergency. Don’t waste your time going here.

I took my child to the ER on Easter because he was screaming and crying due to his ear hurting and a low grade fever and I had no other options due to the holiday. He was seen by Amanda Stockton who stated he did not have an ear infection, I questioned her lack of diagnosis because my son was displaying obvious signs of an ear infection she doubled down saying nothing was wrong with him. By morning his fever was up to 104 and I had to wait another day to be seen at the clinic. Following day he was seen and surprise he had a bad ear infection. The health care provider stated during our visit they were surprised the ER didn’t catch this because his ear was severely infected. Amanda Stockton is incompetent and now I’m expected to pay over $400 for her to peek in his ear for a second then misdiagnose an ear infection. The lack of care, neglect, and incompetence is truly shameful. I will never go to the ER in Mason City again. Be warned Amanda Stockton is not a competent health care provider. Update: I did call and file a complaint with the hospital and was told they would investigate the issue. About a month later I received a letter stating the health care provider gave appropriate care, not surprised they are unwilling to admit fault. I took my son in for an additional follow up and was told his ear infection is gone however he now has a perforated ear drum which is result of the severe ear infection he had. I’m not shocked by all the terrible reviews written about this facility. I’m just wondering how lawsuits have been filed against the hospital and how many times they have settled.
