TLDR: In a day and age where not many people really take pride in their work, Harlan’s team at Professional Roofing blew my expectations away. They really care about their customers and take care of you as an individual. Long Review: I have been around and around with roofers about my roof. I bought the house in 2019 and the roof was “replaced” shortly before purchase. Harlan came out to inspect two leaks I had going on in the roof. Well, we thought they were taken care of, but one kept leaking, so after the third call he came out himself to really get to the bottom of what was going on. Disaster struck when he found out that the previous roofing company didn’t try to fight the insurance to replace the decking and simply nailed through the shingles where there were gaps in said decking. This caused holes beneath the shingles that during a hard rain would leak. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the job, insurance wouldn’t cover it. I tried to get in touch with the previous roofing company to no avail and felt lost in what to do with the situation. Harlan bent over backwards for me to cut costs where he could and walked me through step by step on what they were going to do for me, where the problem areas were and what my options were moving forward. We could’ve patched the entire side, but he was transparent with me letting me know that might not be the end of the repairs. Mind you through all of this he was very professional and the communication was phenomenal. I never felt like he was keeping me in the dark or using a bunch of roofing lingo to go over my head. He talked to me about options with loans if I was uncomfortable paying for the entire roof on my own. Eventually, I came to the conclusion to replace the entire roof and MAN was his team FAAAST! They came out early in the morning and got the entire job done in one day. They laid out tarps to protect my grass and cleaned up much better than even I expected. This was a complete demolition and replacement of the roof. Boards, shingles, nails, decking, flashing, the whole nine yards and I couldn’t even find a single nail when they were done. Harlan himself walked the property afterwards to chat with me and tell me what all they did and to inspect the work. They even put in an extra ventilation spot because the attic was scorching hot. All in all, I couldn’t recommend this company more and I will continue using them in the future. This was one of the most stressful situations for me as a young home buyer, but Harlan made it easy and made me feel confident in my ability to be an informed home owner with peace of mind that things would be taken care of. My roof looks great! 10/10

Proformance did an excellent job on our roof, gutters and other hail damage in the spring! Ed is very professional and thorough! The crew was excellent, taking care to not damage our plants and did an amazing job of cleaning up! I would definitely recommend!

We had hail damage and we wanted it repaired. Harlan inspected our roof and met with the insurance adjuster as he was investigating our claim. We hired him as the contractor for the entire project, the roof and the interior. Harlan was able to renegotiate a higher claim amount as he was pricing actual materials. The work was done well and it was completed in a reasonable time. It took a bit longer to get started than we had hoped. Quality is really good. Improved the house to the new legal specifications. Replaced our antenna with a better one at no charge. Value is great. No cost overrun from the final insurance estimate. We got good value on some extra repairs and enhancements we agreed on in advance. Professionalism excellent. He spoke to us personally.. He returned our calls and emails and texts promptly. He told us what he planned to do and he did it. He had a good rapport with the insurance company and was able to negotiate a higher claim on more than one occasion.
