13/3/25 UPDATE. Final update on this review. We took ownership of our Golf yesterday. Jon Linkins looked after us and I have to say did a fantastic job. A really thorough and professional handover. That’s quite a turnaround from our original experience with this dealership. Congratulations on taking the feedback so seriously and really stepping up. I am now happy to recommend them! The below review was written a few weeks ago and I originally gave them 2 stars. However the way that they have responded has so far been exceptional. My wife and I are now booked in for a test drive and I've spoken with two incredibly polite and helpful members of the team. I do have some quotes now from Car Wow so they will have to be competitive to get my business but fair play to the manner in which they dealt with the original feedback. In case anyone wonders how they did contact us it was through Google directly. We’ve just been into VW Bath (Sunday 5th Jan). The friendly receptionist said hello and showed us where the colour chart was. And he also said that all the cars were open and we could get in any car. So that was nice. We played around in a Golf and a Polo for about 20 minutes. A salesperson (I’m guessing?) walked by and said “hi.” We’ve decided to buy a Golf. We are cash buyers and don’t have to trade anything in. But nobody has said a word to us (other than the above) so we’ve now left. We were the only people in there. No wonder dealers are losing out to the Internet- they can’t compete and they don’t properly qualify the people who do visit them. When Brendan Duggan the Brand Manager (we looked him up on their website) sees this review he won’t be able to even follow it up because nobody asked for any of our details or whether we needed any further assistance. Off to CarWow I guess then! 🤦 Oh - and the offer of a coffee would have been nice - we’d walked all the way from Widcombe to visit!

From the time of walking into the showroom without an appointment Andrew greeted us in a friendly way, understood what we were looking for, and within a few weeks we have a new car.
