Motel 6 Camp Springs, DC - South Camp Springs

You absolutely get what you pay for. I got a good night's rest , a little time for television and of course a hot shower in the morning. It may smell a little bit, but this is the only hotel in the area with nice rates and rooms always available. There is security on the premise that takes his job very serious! I will return... the ice makers were down but I wouldn't let that ruin my visit.

I normally don't complain about my hotel stays, however, this was disappointing. Whoever checked me in wasn't too friendly or welcoming. The place smells like urine. The room was way more cramped then it looked in the picture. The light didn't work adjacent to the bathroom. There is no mini fridge to store leftovers or drinks. Me and my sister noticed the pillows looked dingy and even though the tv was nice, the channels were very basic. The shower curtain didn't have a liner and it was too small for the shower so water got all over the floor. I wanted to say something to the front desk but didn't bother because I didn't want an argument or anything. For the price, I expected a little more and I never had the feeling to cut short my stay at any place until now. I couldn't really get comfortable. To be clear, I stayed at a Motel 6 at a different location and it wasn't like this at all.

We called this motel, and the pictures online looked fine, they said there was no fee for our dog, and we just needed 2 nights, so we reserved our room, paid, and made our way over. The pictures don't show how run down this place is, and it absolutely reeked of marijuana in the lobby area. But we paid, and it was nonrefundable, and we'd been on the road for 5 hours, we were tired. The room had to be better? The previous guest's socks were still on/in the dresser, so ew. But the bed was made and looked clean. No fridge, microwave or coffee machine, but we didn't expect that. People fought outside our room all night, so we got no sleep. My husband was offered a woman's "services" as he left to walk our dog the next morning. We didn't stay the second night, lost money or not.
