I called Mr.Handyman for advice on a project, they replied promptly, updated me every step of the way, gave me the name of the technician and his time of arrival as well as some information on his background. I felt very comfortable when he arrived which is obviously their goal. Jason was very helpful, he was very happy to brainstorm with me and came up with several solutions. He was professional and friendly. I got an estimate right away and it was a reasonable quote. I haven’t scheduled the project yet but I won’t hesitate to call them should I decide to move forward. We hired them to replace deck boards and repair railings. It was suppose to be a 10 day or less job. After 3 days into the job we were told that they will not be back for 2 weeks due to vacation, and they had no one to replace the one person assigned to us. Job started first week of June 2025. After multiple calls and complaints they started sending someone a couple of hours a day. The price kept changing every time someone showed up. What started off at $7300 was now at the end of June over $9500 and my deck wasn't half completed. I stopped all services with them and hired another company. They completed the deck in two days. I attempted to get a partial refund because they didn't finish the job which they refused to refund. The fact that he knew he was understaffed and they didn't complete the job. You would think they would have refunded something instead they lied and said they bought supplies, when we purchased all supplies. So my experience with them was not good at all, and I could not recommend them for anything.
