Wow, happy accident. This place is right near the convention center and it was raining and we wanted lunch so we went in and where are we happy we did! Such a cool well established place with all kinds of neat art & history! The food is excellent with many creative options on the menu — too many actually to choose from you should stop by — check it out - thank you!

We were there early for NOLA, so our experience may be different from customers arriving at say 8:30 pm or later. We arrived about 5:30 pm. The music started at 6:30. There were a pair of couples dancing and a few kids enjoying themselves on the dance floor. The food was excellent, the service was great, and we enjoyed ourselves.

First time and first place never in NOLA. Best shrimp tacos I had ever had!!! The appetizer of shrimp was incredible too. The gumbo was decent wasnt very filling.

I ordered the gumbo du jour and alligator. I really enjoyed everything. The gumbo had a good amount of shrimp and some other meat — very flavorful and comforting. It was my first time trying alligator, and I was surprised how much I liked it. Tender and well-seasoned. Definitely a great experience!
