Much like the South Carolina DOT, this hospital's employees do the bare minimum. Waited an hour to get labs done. There seems to be a trend with workers here in SC or at least Columbia. Maybe instead of having political conversations at the front desk, they hire more people or people who are there to work. Doesn't matter if they are polite, if they don't work, they might as well not be there. This follows a trend. Came to the ER one night with my wife who cut her finger down to the bone. The receptionist who checks patients in was talking to us and not entering anything to a computer. She kept trying to have a conversation. I said my wife is bleeding on your counter and she made no effort to to be quick. It was like she didn't understand this was an ER. I genuinely think she didn't understand her job or had no sense of urgency. Better off with Prisma. I've had way better luck with them.

Like most medical practices these days, the medical care is generally top notch, the support staff much less so. You cannot get this office on the phone. You leave messages and they do not return calls. The staff person in charge of referrals says it takes 7-10 business days to process a referral. Really? 7-10 days to fax a piece of paper. Update: The practice manager called and I believe made a sincere effort to correct these issues. So I increased my rating.

November 12, 2019 Hello, Linda Brown, here to make a correction to my post from 3 months ago. I named Dr. Taylor and Dr. Kneece but that was incorrect the Dr. was Dr. B. Studnicka. As of Friday, November 8, 2019 I am no longer a patient of that practice under Dr. Taylor. I must say she is wonderful, caring, thoughtful and thorough doctor. I will truly miss being her patient and wish her nothing but the BEST! On the other hand, the office manager( Terri) was very rude to me last Friday. But any who I wish her the best as well. PS: The 1 ⭐️ rating was for so many unanswered questions about all the changes in the practice and not for Dr. Taylor.

Dr. Hamilton is a nice and competent physician. However, this office is owned by Providence Physician Practices, LLC---a subsidiary of Lifepoint, which took over Providence Hospital. This LLC has botched all billing processes since the takeover. It started with late and then double bills. Then it escalated to me paying the same charge three times because they double charged my credit card at the office under two names and then sent me another bill including the same amount. The doctor's office claims that they cannot get involved in payment matters and that things must be handled by an elusive "billing" office. That office is reachable by phone and staffed by completely incompetent and rude people. My issues are ongoing and I would suggest that unless you want collection agencies after you for charges that have been paid three times, STAY FAR AWAY.
