Pak turned out to be very knowledgeable about his business and took his time to walk me through all my benefits and negatives of each policy and then advised me based on my needs, but also gave me the opportunity to choose which policy best suits me. Thirty minutes on hold to reach my first human, who promptly put me on hold again. The phone system recognised me the second it picked up, saying my name, but then tried to connect me to my old broker, who retired months ago. Then then system hung up when I selected the "speak to operator" option. When I finally reached someone, I was told I couldn't get my broker's last name or direct number, and they tried to tell me I'd get a call back tomorrow, when I'd been promised a call back today on an urgent question about my premiums. Worth noting that my premiums jumped significantly when my old broker retired, so they're expecting me to pay far more for this level of customer service. The good news is I'm using the cumulative hour and a half I've currently been on hold to get quotes from other companies.
