Naperville Counseling Center is a well-respected practice in our community that I refer clients to regularly. The staff approach each client as a unique individual whom they get to know and understand. If you are looking for a therapist who will really "get" you, I highly recommend Naperville Counseling Center. The staff is warm, kind, and empathetic. They will help you to understand the process of therapy and allow you to feel at ease in no time!

I am very disappointed by the service I received. Naperville counseling center does not have client friendly policy's. The business is not in it for the right reasons. I notified my therapist Laura 21 hours prior to my scheduled appointment that I would not be able to keep my appointment. I let her know that my daughter had strep and I would have to reschedule. She charged my card the $50.00 cancellation fee. There was no warning or conversation had prior to. I highly recommend searching elsewhere for a business that truly cares. I completely understand cancelation policy's. I also understand life happens and at the end of the day, I want a therapist looking to make life easier not harder. I've therally done my research in the Naperville area. I highly recommend skipping this practice all together. There are really great practices right around the corner. I'm posting this because my experience was really terrible. I hope to save you the hassle.

I brought my son to Laura for therapy who would not tell me what therapy method she was using while she treated my son. I left there with her telling me that I needed to work on how I put my son in time out. She gave me a paper from super nanny on how time outs worked, which I already practiced. She asked me if I spanked my child assuming thats why he had behavioral issues. I left there and went to an child psychologist who diagnosed him with adhd and spd. The new child psychologist is very open and discussed every thing with me even offered discipline strategies I have never thought of and now my son is thriving. I wish I could take back the time I spent here.
