I was in Montreal for work and I needed a haircut, desparately! I found her from a quick google search. She was 30 minutes away from closing and she told me to come anyway. She was so lovely and kind and gave me the nicest blowout I have ever had! My curls look great again!

She has a natural talent for connecting with both children and adults, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Mimi tailors each haircut to suit the unique personality and style of the person in her chair, always listening carefully to her clients’ preferences. Her warmth and skill gave my son, who has had long hair for most of his life, the confidence to trust her with a big change. The result was not just a haircut, but a boost in his self-assurance. Miss Mimi truly has a gift! I recently visited this salon and, while the staff was polite and professional, I left feeling disappointed with the value of the service. The website states that a woman’s haircut costs a maximum of $51, but in-house, I was charged $65. After tax, the total came to $75 for a wash and cut—no blowout. For the time spent and the limited services provided, I don't feel the cost was justified. While the staff was friendly, I recommend the salon review its pricing transparency and ensure the website reflects accurate information. Reply to owner: The live website I showed in-store during my appointment clearly displayed the prices at the time and was not a screenshot. Despite this, no one informed me that the prices shown were specific to the Downtown location. The screenshot I later took, two hours after my appointment, further confirms the discrepancy and does not justify the higher cost I was charged. Additionally, the owner was not present and did not speak with me or provide any of this information directly. Blaming the customer for not viewing the pricing correctly is inappropriate and entirely false in this situation. I would appreciate the owner not placing the onus on the customer to guess which prices apply to which location. I was told privately that pricing is determined by the owner and is outside the hairdressers’ control. However, I was not informed in advance that I would receive an email with a quoted price, nor was I given any reason to check for one. To set clear expectations, the salon should provide a price quote during the initial phone call, particularly when collecting the customer’s email address. This would avoid confusion and ensure transparency. I want to emphasize that my experience with the hairdresser was excellent. They were professional, skilled, and accommodating throughout my visit. However, defending the owner’s lack of consistency and clarity regarding pricing information on your website is unnecessary. A little more accountability and clear communication would significantly improve the customer experience. Upon further research, I revisited your website and clicked on the Park Avenue location, only to find that it still displays Downtown pricing. This discrepancy highlights an issue with how your website is managed. While pricing decisions are ultimately your business, when customers select a specific location, they expect to see accurate pricing for that location. I strongly recommend addressing this inconsistency with your web designer to ensure each location’s pricing is displayed accurately. This simple fix would prevent confusion and provide a more seamless and transparent experience for your clients.
