OHSU Primary Care Clinic, South Waterfront

Dr Isabella Kunkel (she/her) is literally the worst primary care physician (PCP) I have ever had. She is the worst at communicating and doesn’t care about her patients. I asked her weeks ago for an urology consult for my frequent UTIs and she refused to give me one and then I ended up in the hospital for a kidney infection. When I got DCd from the hospital I was having severe nausea which I am taking my prescribed zofran for. Zofran (ondansetron) should only be taken every 6-8h otherwise it can prolong your QTc cycle. I am currently taking it more than that and let the clinic know that this isn’t a good plan. I called the primary care clinic this morning and they said they would emergently talk to Doctor kunkel and have her get back to me as soon as possible. About 5 hours later I called back and Rodolfo answered the phone (must be a front desk guy) and refused to let me talk to any provider in the clinic stating I needed an appointment. All I need is to talk to a PCP for literally 5 minutes so they can order me like 5 doses of compazine or any other second line anti-nausea medication. I told Rodolfo I wanted a new PCP because I felt like Dr. Kunkel didn’t care about it for a long time, I was emotional and crying, and he hung up on me. I have been messaging Dr. Kunkel all day on Epic Chat with no response. I don’t feel like she cares at all about her patients, it’s extremely sad.

OHSU the best Dr's around! What a joke!! They will waste your time & your money and your insurance! Orthopedic surgeon Dr Orfaly will be on top of the list! If I could post this review without any stars I would, because it is definitely not deserved! Go some place else for your care! Because they are not going to help you @ all! I wk'd with this Dr for 6months getting ready for surgery, f/u, neuro checks & nerve conduction test, 4 days prior to surgery this Dr had his nurse call me & cancel the entire procedure & will not be moving forward to take care of my case. This Dr left me in a huge world of anxiety, repulsion, anger, disappointment, stress and even more anxiety then prior to surgery. A person gears them self up for a major surgery like having a shoulder replacement. You get yourself ready for surgery. Come to find out your not having surgery at all. So now you have this cont'd pain that still remains in your body and now you have to go find another surgeon! So, Just saying, don't have surgery from this Dr. & definitely don't have any procedures done here also.

I have had nothing but good experiences here. All the staff I encounter are professional. My PCP Dr Roper is fantastic, albeit booked pretty far in advance. I’ve had several same day appointments with other providers when urgent issues have come up and all have been great. I do have insurance and the billing has always been done right. Since there are some very negative reviews (heavy on all caps but light on specifics) I thought I’d contribute that I’ve had nothing to complain about in the several years I’ve been coming here.
