Customer experiences
Not the place it used to be. New inexperienced ownership. My family had been going here for over 10 years under the superior care of Dr. Wiley and the magic touch of hygienist Vonda. Ffwd to today and I'm left shaking my head. I had a device fail in the middle of the process of getting 2 implants. The baffling way Dr Moody handled it (blaming me for lack of care instructions, not standing behind his work, bad communication, wasting my time on unnecessary visits, et al.) has me upset and looking for a new dentist. Suffice to say UFD felt the mere $150 to replace the device meant more to them than a 10 year relationship. It really wasn't about the $, more about how callously the problem was addressed. I'm very glad I found that out before trusting them with my crowns. Staff is friendly but I'm not certain critical info wasn't being filtered to the Dr. Side note: A few years dentist still practicing at this office put my wife in the ER after failing to review her chart and administering a contraindicated local anesthetic. Avoid them...
I really appreciate this place. They offered me a second opinion free of charge and, when they noticed some of the previous dentist's xrays were blurry, they took a bunch more xrays, also free of charge. I left that initial appointment relieved I trusted my gut and got that second opinion. Dr. Cooper found 2 cavities that needed filling, and it was the least painful filling I've ever had done. I didn't even feel the shots and didn't feel the drilling pressure or pain. (The last time I had cavities drilled, at yet a third dentist, I definitely felt that--I've struggled to find a dentist). My "bite" feels just like it did before, even though one filling is right over the other. Both Dr. Cooper and Nikki are warm, informative, and open to questions. The only downside is my insurance didn't cover much of the cost. But other insurance companies may cover more of their cost then mine...I don't think I have the most generous dental insurance plan. The front desk was also pleasant and helpful. I worked mostly with Hela, who walked me through all the insurance ins and outs. Bonnie (hope I'm getting the name right) helped me schedule my next dental exam. Also, there's a dog!
Dr Ing and Nikki were very skilled and caring during a long and difficult procedure today to replace two fillings in adjacent teeth. They kept my comfort in mind throughout the process. I highly recommend this practice!!
Uptown Dental was able to get me in right away to fix a broken tooth. Abby and Dr. Moody were both really kind and personable and fixed up my tooth really quickly and painlessly. My whole experience there was very good from start to finish - Bonnie at reception was so pleasant and friendly!
